metaidea: better ideas for a better world
some premises of metaidea（背景）
1、ideas are the most powerful thing in the world. In this world of crisis, we need better ideas for a better world.
2、Good ideas should be made accessible for everybody. We strive to make that happen with metaidea. We share the best ideas with the world. Everyone is welcomed to join us at metaidea.
3、As we play with these ideas, we might be able to get to know the world better through different lenses, from where new and innovative solutions might emerge.
Who we are:
We are group of curious minds who are passionate about spreading good ideas. Think about Yanfu （严复）, and the rest of the idea pioneers in the early 20th century China. We made new thinkings happen in our time with metaidea.
What we do:
We make the best ideas known!
Where are we?
We are based in Guangzhou, a beautiful city in the south of China.
Why we do this?
The world is in deep crisis. To solve the disease of the world, we need a new framework of thinking. That has to come from a comprehensive knowledge of the world, with metaidea, we make it happen.
Ideas themselves are intangible. But people with a good idea can become very powerful. Think of Tim Berners-lee, who built the Internet back in 1989 – it was the idea of linking the world up with a set of protocols that fundamentally changed the world in the last twenty years. Similar things happen everyday. They just need more spotlight. Here at metaidea, we make these stories and ideas known. It is hoped that this become a source of inspiration for you, be it for your life, for your work, or for your study.
How do we do it?
We do research, we have partnerships with universities, scholars, institutions, and libraries. We are building up a team of writers from a diversity of backgrounds.
